Well, officially I am back in the United States of America, but who doesn’t love a random reference to the Beatles? So, I am home after being in Costa Rica for 9 months, 3 days, and it has been wonderful. I have been able to spend time with my parents, my brother, and good friends. I have eaten FreeBirds, Tex Mex, and (better yet) my mom’s home cooking (side note: my mom never ceases to amaze me with her love and servant-spirit, which she has demonstrated continually this past week through her cooking and cleaning dishes for our family and my friends; just thought I’d give her a shout out). The comforts and familiarity of home has been really nice. I guess Dorothy was right: there’s no place like home.

I hope your time is continuing to be a blessing. We are thinking of you, and every time I pass a place that looks like somewhere you would venture into, I try and mark it in my memory so we can show you. Don’t hold your breath, though…I am horrible with directions, and it’s a zoo here compared to CR! =) We found a house…call us when you get the chance, and we can tell you about it. Now…we just have to furnish it. Big job. See you soon!

Hey, Mark!!! I just stumbled across your blog, and Eric and I look forward to keeping up with your journey! You’re SO right…there’s no place like home, and I’m sure your mom makes everything pretty cush since she’s such a fabulous woman! Tell your parents hello for us. We miss them terribly! Best wishes to you during all your missionary work!
Much love,
Eric and Rebecca Monroe
